My name is Eden Dozier; founder of Dozier Rituals — a luxury haircare house built around a single belief: that natural texture was never the problem. It was always the architecture.

I come from a mixed heritage — Black, Portuguese-Guyanese, European, and Native North and South American. Like my background, my hair was never one thing. It never fit neatly into a single category. For a long time, neither did I. I still don't. Proudly.

For years I reached for the flat iron the way other women reach for confidence — as if the two were the same thing. I smoothed, controlled, corrected. I believed that the straight-haired version of me was the beautiful one. That belief was not mine. I inherited it. And over time, it unraveled.

What I found on the other side of that unraveling was not a curl journey or a transformation. It was something quieter. A recognition. That texture was never disorder. It was always form. Always structure. Always part of the architecture of exactly who I am.

Dozier Rituals was built from that recognition.

This is a luxury haircare house devoted to natural texture in all of its form — curls, coils, waves, movement, volume, and everything in between. Built on a philosophy of refinement over correction. The first object from Dozier Rituals is The Raiz — a cellulose acetate hair pick named for the Portuguese word for root. It is the tool that honors what grows naturally. The object that lifts rather than flattens. Handcrafted from the same material used by the great luxury accessory houses of Europe, designed specifically for natural texture.
